ANNA’S CLEANSE JOURNAL

Day 1
On the first day of my three-day juice cleanse, I was immediately faced with my first challenge: hunger. Although the juices were filling, I noticed that I still felt a bit hungry between “meals”. This was particularly difficult while studying, where I found that my concentration was slightly reduced. I also had a strong urge to chew, so I missed that aspect.
During exercise (swimming laps), I didn’t really notice a difference. I managed fine without feeling low on energy. But after exercising, I couldn’t really eat anything that normally gives me energy, so I missed that.
The biggest hurdles on the first day were the hunger and the lack of chewing. I mixed the ginger shot with water because I can’t handle spicy things very well.

Day 2
On the second day, I began to feel the effects of the juice cleanse more. I noticed that my energy level was lower than usual, and I was less inclined to be active. Even my normal morning routine took more effort than usual, and I found myself slower and less motivated to get things done.
Although I still felt a bit hungry now and then, I noticed that the feeling was slowly starting to fade. My body seemed to be adjusting to the lack of solid food, and I became more aware of the cleansing effects of the juices. However, while studying, I still had trouble concentrating.

Day 3
On the last day of my juice cleanse, I felt different from the previous two days. I no longer really felt hungry, and my body seemed to have adapted to drinking only juices. Although my energy level was still slightly lower than usual, I felt generally good and balanced.
I did notice that I found it a bit disappointing that many social activities revolve around food and drinks, and you have to say no to them at a time like this. But I managed to do it, and afterward, I was glad I did!
The most noticeable aspect of the third day was that I did feel like my body had been cleansed in some way. I found the third day easier than the first two, perhaps because I was no longer constantly craving solid food and had adjusted to living on just juices for the final day.
