CARLA’S CLEANSE – 3 DAY DEEPEST

DAY 1:

Started the day with a ginger shot and super motivated to give my digestive system a little vacation. At 9 o’clock, I started with my first juice, the Master Cleanse and wow, let me tell you, that was spicy!!! After two hours and a couple of teas, I had the Force of Nature, which is my favorite juice. So far, the cleanse was going very smoothly, and I wasn’t hungry at all. I had the same levels of energy as a regular day. Then I had another Force of Nature, which felt like pure gold to my body. At that point, I was feeling incredibly healthy already haha. I won’t lie, I was craving a snack or something to chew on. Then at around 16:00 pm, I had the hardest one for me, Mean Green. But surprisingly, I was handling it pretty well, no hunger, only cravings. That was teaching me a lot of self-mastery. Once I was ready for the yummiest one, Vanilla Sky, I realized I still needed to drink celery juice… wasn’t on my mental plans, but wasn’t as bad as I thought. Then the most exciting part came, Vanilla Sky! And wow, the way I enjoyed every single sip of that milk made me realize how much on autopilot I usually eat or drink, or even how much I take for granted all the tasty food I regularly eat. So the first day was a success because even though I had some cravings, everything was mental.

DAY 2:

Day 2 got a bit more complicated. The morning went well and I felt very rested as I slept very profoundly ( something I tend to struggle with), but at lunchtime, while I was sipping on some broccoli and spinach, the hunger hit wildly. I thought of snacking on some radishes and celery, but then I reminded myself that one of the reasons I was doing the cleanse wasn’t only about detoxing my body but to control my impulses when it comes to food. So I stuck to the plan, and that already made me feel like I was getting a lot out of it. My energy levels were very low so I sipped on the Vanilla Sky during the day (which I kinda regretted at the end of the day), and instead of my usual workout, I did a yin yoga class.

DAY 3:

Day 3 was way better than what I expected. I woke up very relaxed and not having any food impulses. However, after the first two juices, my mind started rumbling again about the need to chew on something. So I went to Ekoplaza and bought a celery stick, which helped me go through the day without that much craving. At this point, the juices started to be less enjoyable, but I kept reminding myself of the benefits of it, both physically and mentally. After learning the lesson on the previous day, I saved the Vanilla Sky for the night, and after having had a very slow day with very little energy but a lot of introspection, that felt like glory in all the ways.

The next day as I slowly started to incorporate food, my energy levels came back to normal, and they actually got higher than ever. Since I’ve done the cleanse, my energy levels have increased drastically as well as my self-control when it comes to snacking. I’m super happy I was able to give my body a break and use the energy it usually uses to digest to heal other parts in need <3 100% recommended!
