Celery juice has become a popular wellness trend because of its numerous health benefits. From celebrities to health enthusiasts, many are embracing the green stalks as a daily health elixir. But does celery juice live up to the hype? To find out, I tried the 14-day celery challenge, together with JuiceBrothers, drinking a glass of fresh celery juice every morning on an empty stomach. Here’s what happened.
I felt quite confident in adding it into my weekly meal plan, without any concern that it would hinder my macronutrient goals for each day. I was very excited to get started. I’ve never had celery juice before. In the first week, every morning, I slunk into my kitchen and poured myself a glass of the green stuff. So far, I hadn’t noticed any radical differences in my body from my seven-day streak of celery juicing.
It definitely helped fill me up faster, and I found myself only having one cup of morning coffee with breakfast rather than my usual two. It also felt good knowing that I was starting my day with an extra boost of energy.
After two weeks of drinking celery juice every morning, it was in my routine and had naturally incorporated the juice into my day. My energy was good, I had picked up a bit of a cold but nothing stopped me from carrying on with my usual routine. Around day ten, I started to see improvements in my skin. Celery juice is packed with antioxidants that help combat inflammation and promote skin health.
By the end of the 14-day challenge, the benefits were clear. My digestion had improved significantly, my energy levels were stable throughout the day, and my skin looked healthier. The daily ritual of drinking celery juice also encouraged me to make other healthy choices, such as staying hydrated and eating more fruits and vegetables.
