Eva Cleanse Experience

Why are you doing a juice cleanse?

The main benefit and why I personally love doing a juice cleanse is because you’re giving your gut some rest. When you’re only drinking cold pressed juices, especially ones that are not too high in sugar, you’re limiting the amount of stress you put on your gut, while still getting a lot of the benefits. Another reason why you look and feel amazing after a juice cleanse is hydration.

Why detox with cold-pressed juice?

We stress our bodies constantly with heavy metals, toxins etc. by eating processed foods, meat, dairy, drinking coffee, alcohol. All of the above causes inflammation in the body for a lot of people. When you choose to feed your body only juices for 1,3 or 5-days straight, you’re counting on just these juices to fuel your body for all its vital tasks. Cold pressed machines are designed in a way that they generate no heat (e.g. the quick turning of metal blades in a regular juicer causes heat). This heat ends up breaking down some of the most essential enzymes in the fruit and vegetables.

A day in my detox program with –  The deepest cleanse.

8:00AM: I start the day with some water with lemon juice and the wheatgrass shot like described. About 30 minutes after I noticed my digestion started to work because of the rumbling of my stomach, haha!
9:00AM: At this point I’m already super hungry, probably because the wheatgrass shot and water started my digestion, so my body is craving food. I start by taking the master cleanse. I love the subtle sweetness and slight spice to it because of the cayenne! Very satisfying.
10:15AM: Because I usually have a huge breakfast around 8am, which is what my body’s used to, I start to feel very hungry, I decide to have my first juice, followed by a homemade matcha tea with adaptogenic mushrooms for some mental clarity (this also really helped me stay focussed without being focused on the hunger too much)
12:00PM: I take my second juice, I’m really starting to crave food but some more tea and water is keeping me hydrated enough to trick my body.
12:30PM: Still hungry so I decide to drink about half of the vanilla sky which is very satisfying!
2:30PM: juice 3, hunger starts to go down. I feel like my body is getting more used to it.
5:00PM: juice 4, also my last juice. I will wait a little bit to finish my last bit of the vanilla sky.
5.30PM: rest of the vanilla sky, wondering if it’s not a little too tricky to also be intermittent fasting during the juice cleanse, but I’m not afraid of a challenge!

I definitely went to bed quite hungry but the vanilla sky kept me full until about 8pm. Since I already do intermittent fasting, I am used to going to bed slightly hungry, and I actually sleep better on an empty stomach.  On the days that you do a juice cleanse I would advise you not to try to be too active. Instead opt for really helping your body detox and avoid stress. Practicing yoga or mindfulness will help achieve great results 🙂
