SILVIA’S DIARY – SECOND TIME CLEANSE ‘DEEP’

Before: After a rough start to the year regarding my health, I did a 3-day juice cleanse from Juice Brothers in March 2024 to give my body a vitamin boost. I also wanted to lose a bit of weight. In the days leading up to the cleanse, I consciously started eating lighter and drinking plenty of water to make the transition to the juices easier.

Day 1: On the first day, I followed Juice Brothers’ advice and started with lukewarm water with some lemon juice. A bit later, I had the ginger shot diluted with water. It was quite strong, but it gave me a kind of kick (and some strange tingling). At work, I drank a juice every 2 hours, starting with the Master Cleanse, which I really enjoyed because it’s a bit spicy, followed by the Skin Sister, then Easy Going, and Dragons Breath, which was quite manageable. However, around 4 PM, I started feeling a bit hungry, so I had a little Vanilla Sky ahead of time. Around dinner, I had the Force of Nature, and later on the couch, I took my time with the “dessert,” the Vanilla Sky, to prevent hunger in the evening and at night. For this reason, I also went to bed a bit earlier than usual during the juice cleanse.

Day 2: I started this day feeling a bit weak. I could tell that my body was really busy flushing out toxins. Again, I began with water and lemon juice, and after a warm shower, I had the ginger shot diluted with water. It was intense. Throughout the day, I drank the juices in the same order as the previous day—first the Master Cleanse, 2 hours later the Skin Sister, another 2 hours later the Easy Going, and around 4 PM the Dragons Breath, followed by a sip of Vanilla Sky half an hour later. Around dinner time, I had the Force of Nature. I consciously avoided sitting at the table with the rest of the family and went for a walk instead. In the evening, I enjoyed the Vanilla Sky again, taking my time with it. I kept a glass of water next to my bed for the night.

Day 3: The last day was the hardest, as expected. The hunger was less intense, though, as my body was getting used to the juice cleanse. Today was a day off, so I went for a walk after each juice. I followed the same order as the previous days, but started a bit later since I slept in. That was nice because part of the day was already over, and I could drink the juices a bit closer together.

After: I slowly started reintroducing solid food. I still began the day with water and lemon juice, and for breakfast, I had a sesame cracker with Philadelphia and herbal tea. In the afternoon, I had a smoothie and two slices of bread, and in the evening, I had organic tomato soup with some baguette. I continued to drink plenty of water throughout the day.

The juice cleanse went well. I had a good idea of what to expect since it wasn’t my first time. I will definitely repeat this routine regularly to cleanse my body and stay in shape.
