At the moment, plastic still is the most environmentally friendly option we can choose. It needs fewer resources to create, fill, ship and distribute than glass. We use High-density polyethylene #2 (HDPE #2) plastic because it does not leach and it’s considered the safest choice. Also, this type of plastic is the most efficient type for recycling. It’s much lighter than glass, so we have to use less fuel for transport and you will have less weight to carry, glass is up to nine times as much weight than plastic. Of course, we continually look for innovation because our goal is zero % waste.
