Why organic?

Unless you don’t mind a continuous influx of unnecessary chemicals into your body, I highly recommend buying organic!

Conventionally grown produce contains toxic chemicals designed to kill insects and other pests. Would it surprise you that these substances aren’t entirely harmless for your own health, either?

Pesticides must be processed by your immune system and have been shown to cause various diseases and disorders such as digestive dysfunctions. As pesticides build up in your tissues, your immune system weakens, which can also make you more susceptible to illness and infections.

Another reason to go organic is that organic vegetables and fruits contain more nutrients and phytochemicals than conventional ones. Why? Because organic fruits and vegetables have to work harder to fight off bugs on their own. They do that by making antioxidants. Therefore, organic produce has more antioxidants than conventional produce.

What’s also worth mentioning is that organic farming works with the land, which means that crops are rotated from year to year so the soil can replenish its nutrients between growing cycles. So when you’re buying organic, you’re also helping the planet!
